Current Focus

Our current focus is to cavitate Ballistics Gel in hope to find a formula to predict elastic modulus of muscle. Once testing on ballistics have concluded with enough information we hope to test specimen from a local pig slaughter houses and obtain some legs of pigs. We will test the differences between a freshly killed pig leg and a preserved one to see if there is a correlation between time of death and muscle elasticity.

Hypothesis: The freshly killed pig will have less elasticity in the muscle fibers then the preserved pig muscle. We suspect this due to the effects of rigor mortis in the body that occurs after death.
